Compass Tractors Ltd recently celebrated 20 years of serving the farming community with an open evening that included a special charity auction. Thanks to the incredible generosity of customers, friends, and local businesses, the event raised over £20,000, which has been equally split between two remarkable charities: the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (R.A.B.I).
This week, Compass Tractors’ Managing Director Justin Nichols and Sales & Marketing Executive Alex had the privilege of visiting the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance base at Henstridge Airfield to officially present their share of the funds. The visit offered an inspiring insight into the life-saving work carried out by the Air Ambulance team, and the experience left a lasting impression.
“It was truly humbling to see the dedication, skill, and sheer hard work that goes into every single mission,” said Alex. “The team’s commitment to saving lives is nothing short of heroic, and we’re so proud to support such a vital service.”
During their time at the airfield, Justin and Alex were given a behind-the-scenes look at the operation, learning about the advanced medical equipment on board, the highly trained crews, and the incredible efforts it takes to respond quickly in emergencies. The team also delivered a presentation, sharing stories of their work and the impact it has on local communities across Dorset and Somerset.
The funds donated by Compass Tractors will go directly towards supporting the Air Ambulance’s ongoing efforts to provide critical care when and where it is needed most. This vital service relies entirely on charitable donations to keep flying, and every contribution helps to make a difference.
Reflecting on 20 years in business, Compass Tractors is proud to have built a reputation not only as a trusted Fendt dealership but also as a company committed to supporting its local community. “The charity auction was a fantastic way to mark this milestone,” said Justin Nichols. “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who supported the event and made this donation possible. Seeing first-hand the incredible work of the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance team was an unforgettable experience.”
The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (R.A.B.I) also received half of the funds raised during the auction. This charity provides financial support and practical advice to farming people in need, and Compass Tractors is proud to contribute to its invaluable work.
The team at Compass Tractors extends their heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the open evening, participated in the auction, and contributed to these amazing causes. As the company looks forward to the future, it remains committed to supporting charities that make a tangible difference to the community it serves.
